Instructions

Step 1: Prep Your Ingredients

  • Wash and chop your vegetables into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
  • Season your protein generously with salt, pepper, and your favorite spices.
  • Measure out your liquids, like broth or water, and set them aside for quick access.

Step 2: Sear and Sauté

  • Turn on the Sauté Mode on your Ninja Foodi and allow the pot to preheat for a couple of minutes.
  • Add a splash of olive oil, then sear your protein on all sides to lock in the juices and develop a golden crust.
  • Remove the protein and set it aside. Toss in your chopped vegetables and sauté for 2–3 minutes to soften them slightly.

Step 3: Pressure Cook to Tender Perfection

  • Return the seared protein to the pot and arrange it evenly.
  • Add your liquid (broth or water) and ensure it covers the bottom but doesn’t exceed the max fill line.
  • Secure the lid, switch the vent to the Sealing Position, and set the Ninja Foodi to Pressure Cook Mode.
  • Cook according to the protein type:
  • Chicken: 10–12 minutes
  • Beef: 20–25 minutes
  • Vegetables only: 3–5 minutes

Step 4: Crisp It Up with Air Frying

  • Once the pressure cooking is done, switch to Air Crisp Mode for that irresistible golden finish.
  • Lightly brush your protein and veggies with oil or butter for extra crispiness. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5–8 minutes, checking halfway through.

Step 5: Final Touches

  • Once the cooking cycle is complete, carefully open the lid and sprinkle on any final seasonings or garnishes like fresh herbs, grated cheese, or a squeeze of lemon juice.
  • Give the dish a gentle stir to coat everything in the flavorful sauce or juices at the bottom.
